If you want a homey, super-friendly salon environment and top-notch stylists, check out this neighborhood oasis. We can't help it, we are massage-ophiles, and they are known to circulate the salon giving complimentary hydrating hand massages. Bonus! 
For talented stylists and colorists, as well as a chic, urban location and great service, we adore the folks at C Salon! Special call-out to Aaron, who not only truly "listens" to his clients and gives a great haircut, he's fun and a wealth of knowledge on Chicago dining. 
Situated in the center of downtown Chicago and walking distance from Spa Space, the boutique-style, luxury Hotel Monaco Chicago is just steps from the North Michigan Avenue shopping district. This is a get-to-know-you kind of hotel, whether you stay once or become a regular (most folks we know become regulars after their first visit).
It's true, we love the Kimpton Group boutique hotels! The Allegro is fun, sassy and literally 4 blocks from Spa Space. The recent renovation and reasonable rates make this theatre-district hotel a must-try. The rooms are roomy and the attitude is decidedly un-stuffy. We are big fans! 
In our opinion, a great yoga class challenges the body while allowing the soul to restore itself. We think Yogaview accomplishes both through outstanding instructors and a great view of Chicago's beautiful skyline (Elston location). 
The ancient Eastern medicine of acupuncture compliments a healthy lifestyle, and can often treat both chronic and acute health problems where Western medicine has limitations. We have great confidence in the training, expertise and approach of Christie Jordan, the founder of Source Healing. 
For a selection of fine cheeses, breads and wines (a great compliment to a spa party!), we love this neighborhood shop. They construct artful, delicious trays that work beautifully for events. Or, just pop into the store and let one of their experts pair the perfect wine and cheese for a relaxing evening at home. 
In our opinion, the most important quality in a plastic surgeon is subtlety. You want to look great - like YOU - without looking like you had anything done (except perhaps a nice long vacation). Dr. Pielet is a true artist in this sense, and he has all the impressive medical credentials to match. If you're thinking about botox or laser resurfacing, we think he's the best.
