Our Management Team

Natalie Tessler is the founder and owner of Spa Space. She has a BA from University of Wisconsin-Madison ('91), a law degree from American University ('94) and an LL.M. (Master's of Law degree) in taxation from New York University ('95). Natalie's professional experience includes working as a tax attorney and estate planning attorney at firms in New York and Chicago.  In 1999, she began researching the wellness and day spa industries and developing the business concept for Spa Space. She was drawn to the industry through her genuine love for hospitality and entertaining. She takes great pleasure in interacting with the Spa Space clientele, and strives to surpass the expectations of each and every guest.

In addition to acting as a hands-on, full-time manager of Spa Space, Natalie regularly speaks to students, entrepreneurs and angel investors on the topics of capital-raising, business plan development and entrepreneurship. She also does consulting for new day spa businesses.

Nicole Villagomez is the Spa Director/General Manager of Spa Space and has been with Spa Space since its inception in 2001. She has over 10 years of experience in the spa industry, with an emphasis in operations and management. Nicki has a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising Management from the International Academy of Design and Technology. As Spa Director, Nicki is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the spa, handling client relations, and organizing private parties and corporate events. She takes a hands-on approach to management, working closely with our staff to ensure the highest levels of customer service and quality-control. You can contact Nicki at nicki@spaspace.com.

Deyan Aponte is an Assistant Manager and Esthetician at Spa Space. She has over 10 years of experience in the spa industry, and has been with Spa Space since 2004. She received her esthetics license in 2007 from the University of Esthetics and, as a Jack of all trades, performs skincare and waxing services at Spa Space in addition to her management role. Deyan handles many of our group events, and also manages our nail department. Mary Hayes is an Assistant Manager and the Social Media Coordinator for Spa Space. Originally from Denver, Mary graduated from Santa Clara University with a double degree in Art History and Communication. She has over 4 years of spa and beauty industry experience, and nearly 6 years of customer service experience. She manages the front desk, and handles many of our group events. In addition to her management role, Mary is also Spa Space's Social Media Coordinator. She runs the spa's social networking sites, writes for the spa's blog, and helps to maintain the website and create our monthly specials.
