Massage Department

Bill: Bill is a graduate of the Soma Institute and is certified by the National Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. A Massage Therapist since 2000, Bill's combined strength and technical skills allow him to excel in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Sports Massage.

Grant: Grant is a graduate of the prestigious Florida College of Natural Health, and has been practicing massage therapy since 1999. Grant works to provide both education and therapy using many techniques, among them: Eastern Modalities (Shiatsu, Thai & Acupressure), Neuromuscular Massage, Myofascial, Stone Therapy, Swedish Massage, Body Treatments, and visualization for extra relaxation.

Julie: Julie is originally from the St. Louis area and worked in the theater and music industry before changing to a career in massage therapy. She enjoys providing a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere for her clients. Her style is a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. She also likes to incorporate myofascial techniques into her work. Julie is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

David: David is a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the Soma Institute. He has knowledge of and training in a number of modalities including but not limited to Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports, and Tigger Point therapy. He has an extensive background in working with clients who have experienced muscular injuries and seek increased mobility and reduction of pain and is equally adept in providing massage that reduces stress and releases tension.

Erin: Erin graduated from Milwaukee's Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in 2002. She feels that the spa environment is the perfect place to achieve both mental physical wellness, and incorporates this into her massage. Whether in need of a light, relaxing Swedish massage or a therapeutic Deep Tissue massage, Erin looks forward to meeting the needs of each individual. She is especially skilled in body treatments, and clients appreciate her attention to detail in Spa Space's Body Bronzing treatment.

Robin: Robin is a graduate of Chicago School of Massage Therapy and is a National Board Certified Therapist and member of the AMTA. Robin loves to teach massage techniques to others, and therefore especially enjoys Spa Space's "Art of Touch" service. Her style includes a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue work for maximum relaxation and therapeutic needs. She also utilizes neuromuscular, myofascial, and stretching techniques to assist clients in relieving chronic pain and discomfort.

Agnes: Agnes graduated from The Marie Curie-Sklodowska University of Poland with a degree in Massage Therapy in 1999. She is trained in all of Spa Space's massages and integrates them with additional techniques to create an individual specific and relaxing massage experience for each of her clients.

Deanna: Deanna uses Acupressure, Shiatsu, Stretching, and Cranial Sacral modalities during her sessions to aid her clients to both relax and rejuvenate. She is a certified Reflexologist as well as a graduate of Ohashiatsu Chicago where she studied Massage and Shiatsu. She specializes in stress management and chronic pain issues. Her goal with every client is to encourage the body and mind to return to its natural state of balance.

Jessica: Jessica is a graduate of The Soma Institute (of IL) and Acupressure Institute (of CA), she is a Shiatsu Practitioner, a Member of the Reflexology Assoc of Illinois, AMTA, and certified by the NBTMB.
Jessica has been practicing since 2006. She firmly believes it takes both Eastern and Western medicine to heal people body and soul. Jessica prides herself on her advanced knowledge of neck & shoulder tension techiques- making her a client favorite for Indian Head Massage. Using a firm, though nurturing touch and integrating her training in Swedish, Deep tissue, Myofascial release AND Tui Na and Acupressure to tailor each clients treatment to their body's needs.

Kirsten: Kirsten has been practicing massage therapy for over 2 years. Kirsten is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, certified by the National Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy. She has continued education in Lumbo-Pelvic pain management and Thai Massage. Kirsten has a genuine passion for the healing-arts and feels that she excels best at stimulating deep relaxation/stress reduction through Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage that incorporates Eastern techniques.

Doug: Doug graduated from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2006. He is known for his artful massage that integrates elements of Trigger Point Therapy, Sweidh, Deep Tissue, and Sports MaSsage. Rhythm, symmetry, flow, continuity, and completeness are hallmarks of his style.

Veronica: Veronica has been in the Massage Therapy field since 1996 after completing her studies at The Chicago School of Massage Therapy.She has since received additional training in Craniosacral therapy,Reiki, and the Myofascial Therapy certification program. Veronica uses her knowledge and years of experience working with clients dealing with injuries, pain management, and stress to customize the most therapeutic, beneficial experience for each individual. She strongly believes that by integrating massage into your lifestyle you can help your body heal itself.

Jerry: Jerry joined Spa Space in June of 2007 after graduating from the Soma Institute with a degree in Clinical Massage Therapy. Prior to that, he began his training in January 1998 at the Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts and continued at IPSB in San Diego. In addition to clinical massage, he has extensive training in stone, passive joint movement, and deep tissue. He excel at blending his variety of techniques into a tailor made massage for each and every client.

Carly: Carly is a graduate of the Class of 2000 fro Alexandria School of Scientifics Therapeutics in Indiana. Prior to Spa Space, she worked alongside some of the finest doctors and physical therapists in health care clinics and fitness centers. Each environment has allowed Carly to not only perfect her basic skills, but also to fine tine numerous advanced techniques. Her years of experience and open lines of communication with clients has allowed for each session to be customized to meet the needs of each individual.

Lisa: Lisa graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2004 and has also studied Cranio Sacral therapy with the Upledger Institute. Her style of massage is a blending if Swedish strokes with therapeutic techniques to create the ultimate relaxing experience while relieving chronic pain. She also enjoys doing body treatments and Indian Head massage.

Esthetics Department

Indira: Indira combines an extensive American education with European experience and approach. She is renowned for her clinical-style facials, during which she performs deeply thorough extractions for maximum effectiveness, and relaxing massage for a completely nurturing experience. Indira has also become famous at Spa Space for her fast and perfect Brazilian-style bikini wax.

Jai: Jai is a graduate of Pivot Point International in Bloomingdale, Illinois. She strives to provide her clients with the most relaxing yet clinical and educational experience. She specializes in highly active, results-oriented facials.

Gina: Trained in Lithuania, Gina went to medical school, followed by Esthetics school. She has her dual diplomas as a licensed Esthetician and doctor's assistant. She believes that the key to her great deep clean facials are her thorough extractions - they make the biggest difference in post-facial skin. She also is known for her soothing touch; clients claim to forget about everything, doze off, even have their headaches cured after a service with Gina.

Jennine: Jennine has been practicing as an esthetician for over five years after receiving her education from the College of Beauty Culture in Illinois. She has pursued continuing education from the Conservatory of Esthetics and the Skin Convention in Las Vegas for facial technique and the art of Brazilian bikini waxing. Jennine's facial style leaves her guests feeling deep-cleaned, educated, and pampered. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the use of chemical skincare. Jennine is also skillful in makeup artistry, with over six years of experience.

Jennine is the Regional Trainer for Sonya Dakar Skincare, educating other estheticians about the take home product line, as well as how to perform the facial treatments exclusive to Sonya Dakar.

Camille: Graduating from the University of Aesthetics in Chicago, Camille has been an esthetician for over four years. Camille's loyal following comes from her work with clients towards achieving their long term skincare goals. Her specialty is correcting & maintaining a clear complexion for acne prone & damaged skin types. Camille pioneered our Lash Application service at Spa Space & is a client proclaimed "brow goddess"...

Angie: Angie is a graduate of Pivot Point International, and has been practicing aesthetics for three years. She specializes in result orientated skincare. She especially enjoys working with aging and problematic skin types. Her treatments are clinical but yet very relaxing.

Sam: Sam is a graduate of the Aveda Institute, Chicago. She has been a licensed esthetician since 2005. She specializes in waxing but also loves giving relaxing, yet results-oriented facials. She believes in the importance of receiving regular facials to maintain the skin's youthful appearance. She is also known for her nurturing touch and neck, face and foot massages.

Maxine: Maxine graduated from Hair & Skin Professionals in West Dundee, IL. With a family history of esthetics and makeup artistry. She specializes in waxing, primarily Brazilians & brows. Maxine is known for her speedy & thorough style.

Deyan: Deyan was born in Puerto Rico, but raised all her life in Chicago. She is an expert in the treatment and maintenance of ethnic skin, and is also an excellent waxer. Her facials are results-oriented and she gives her clients a regimen so that they maintain a 'flawless look'. She specializes in eyebrow shaping and Brazilian bikini waxing for both men and women. Her sense of humor and down-to-earth personality makes her a great choice for first-time waxers, as she makes people feel comfortable. In addition to being an esthetician, Deyan is also the Front Desk Manager, so she understands the importance of customer service and makes sure all of her clients feel special.

Tara: Licensed since 2003, Tara loves helping her clients realize their potential & have that extra "boost" that comes along with looking & feeling good. She is passionate about medical based skincare & specializes in problematic skin types. Tara educates her clients about the importance of a take-home regimen & a healthy lifestyle to keep skin crystal clear.

Nail Department

Yvette: Yvette graduated from the Chicago Nail School in 1998. Under the direction of the International Pedicure Association and the American School of Pedicuring, she has become the first Certified master Pedicurist in Illinois . This certification goes beyond basic training, providing Yvette with extensive knowledge in diabetic foot care, corn and callous maintenance, tinea pedis and onychomycosis detection, as well as nail bracing for ingrown and involuted toenails. Yvette is also responsible for development of Spa Space's Sports Pedicure, Vanilla-Almond Manicure & Pedicure, and the Whipped Chocolate Manicure & Pedicure. Yvette is a member of the International Pedicure Association and the International Nail Technician's Association.

Alicia : Alicia studied Nail Technology at Hair Professionals Academy, and graduated at the top of her class in 1996. She enjoys meeting new people and treating them to a relaxing, yet thorough nail service. Alicia especially enjoys giving a great pedicure and seeing the transformation of her clients. Making people happy motivates her to excel at her work.

Sandra: Sandra attended cosmetology school in Latvia. She has been a nail technician since 2004, as well as a licensed esthetician. Her goal is to ensure that every one of her clients leaves pampered and relaxed, with an extra zip to their day. Clients love her thorough exfoliation, leaving their skin as soft as a baby, and her optimistic outlook. Numerous clients have commented that you always see Sandra with a smile.

Monika: Monika is a perfectionist - she excels at giving an absolutely flawless polish job and shaping the nails to complement the hands. Her positive energy and intense focus on the quality of her work will leave you looking and feeling your best!

Kennise: After several years of working in the Human Resources field, Kennise started her nail career in 2004 by attending the OPI program at Pivot Point. After obtaining her license was employed at the first concept OPI Nail Bar in Illinois and gained several certifications from OPI including Micro Wrap, Polish Technique, Manicure and Spa Pedicure. She is a true professional, taking pride in the work and service she provides for each and every client.

Meredith: Meredith attended the OPI program and graduated from Pivot Point Institute in 2004. She previously worked for the OPI's first concept nail bar until moving to Spa Space in April of 2006. She does a flawless set of acrylics!

Patricia: Patricia attended Mario Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, studying Nail Technology. She graduated in August of '06 and gained her license in November. Previously she has worked in a spa environment focusing on her skills in all areas of natural nail care. Her manicures and pedicures have gotten rave reviews from our clients because of her attention to detail and excellent customer service. Patricia has a wonderful personality that is reflected in her work as well with her relations to clients. She is a true asset to Spa Space!

Front Desk Staff

Deyan
Deyan has been in the spa industry for over seven years and with Spa Space since 2002. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of Spa Space's offerings and loves to assist clients with selecting skincare products. Deyan also excels at matching clients to the technicians that best suit their needs. Deyan recently graduated from the University of Esthetics in Chicago.

Maria: Maria is a spa industry veteran with more than 5 years of experience. Maria has been with Spa Space since its inception in 2001. She is an excellent asset to the Spa Space staff, always positive and upbeat. In addition to her role at the Front Desk, Maria constantly is improving the aesthetic ambience at Spa Space, with stunning floral arrangements and a great eye for merchandising. Outside of Spa Space, Maria enjoys time with her family.
