Medical Advisory Board

Martin E. Tessler, MD has been a dermatologist for more than 35 years, and participates as an active member of Spa Space's Medical Advisory Board. His expertise has been used to educate the esthetics staff at Spa Space, to evaluate the skin care treatments offered at Spa Space, and to select the most effective products offered for sale at Spa Space.

Dr. Tessler received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1967. He is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon. Dr. Tessler is regularly named in "The Best Doctors in America," a health professional referral guide compiled by surveying the opinions of 5,000 physicians.

Over 10 years ago, Dr. Tessler founded VIBRADERM®, - a dermatalogic line of skin care products that is carried by Spa Space and featured in the Signature Facial.

Michael D. Seidman, MD, FACS is a physician with a BS in Human Nutrition. Dr. Seidman has been awarded research grants for his pioneering work on hearing loss, blood flow disturbances, antioxidants and aging; he has published and lectured extensively on the same topics. He is the CO-Chair of the Complementary/Alternative Medicine Initiative at Henry Ford Health System. Additionally, he has been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Life Extension Foundation and is a reviewer, or on the editorial review board, of four major scientific journals.

Dr. Seidman is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Body Language Vitamin Co. -- a company that develops scientifically designed, all natural nutritional supplements of the highest quality. Dr. Seidman will be working with Spa Space in an advisory capacity -- helping to ensure that Spa Space offers only the best the world of complementary medicine has to offer.

Dr. Rodger Pielet, an accomplished plastic surgeon, is a member of the Spa Space Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Pielet received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and did his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago, where he joined the faculty in 1993 after completing a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Pielet is currently a clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago and maintains a presence in the academic and clinical training of plastic surgeons. He has also taught laser physics and laser training courses both nationally and abroad. Dr. Pielet has been featured numerous times on both local and national television for his techniques and innovations in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery. He was recently featured in an article in Today's Chicago Woman for his unique and personalized approach to each individual patient.

In addition to his clinical practice and academic contributions here in Chicago, he donates his time and professional services to help underprivileged children and adults with congenital deformities in Oaxaca and Zimapan, Mexico.
